See if you can locate the source and remove the burning object (if it does not belong there) or replace the burning component (if it is a defective part). If you do not feel confident doing the service, get professional help.
be careful. It may not be not safe to use until it is repaired. A fire or explosion could occur. Unplug it from the AC until you get it serviced.
