What I would recommend you to do is to make sure that your device is under MTP mode instead of MSC...to do that go under menu, setting, usb and then there should the two mode listed there...In would recommend thaf you upgrade your windows media player to 11..to do that go to ..www.windowsmediaplayer.com and then click on the download now for windows media player 11...then you want to plug your device in the back of your computer..not in the front..that is very important....once you do that..open up your windowsSandisk Sanse e250 - 5.gif media player5.gif...click on your start thee sync panel..if your device is recognize properly it will be showing there on the right side..and if its not listed properly, it will say connect a device..if thats the case..click on your start menu right click on computer and then click on propetties, click under hardware and then device manager..your device should be showing there...check under disk drives to see if your device is showing there and if it doesnt you want to right click and hit uninstall...we dont want your device to be under disk drive ..we want it to be under windows portable device...once you uninstall it...go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you..

I have had my Sansa SanDisk e250 since 2007. It has been working great until yesterday when it suddenly flashed a message saying "synchronize to continue music subscription" Any suggestions?...

It means to sync with your account on your pc. If you have the hardware such as a usb cord plug in the device. If it came with a CD as most do put that in your computer. Let me know if that doesn't work.

My sanddisk won't connect to my computer what do i do?

Sansa Not Recognized: Try connecting it to another computer the back straight to the motherboard thIs should be USB 2.0 and see if it will recognize it as sansa or Drive/removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when asked. This will update your sansas firmware and add the Usb Mode. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize IF not try a laptop.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe) download to a flash drive much easier. Make sure USB mode is MSC
Recovery Mode may also allow your computer to recognize the sansa

  1. Plug in your USB cord to your Sandisk Sansa Mp3 Player and computer (works with Windows XP, Not sure about Vista Or Win 2000).
  2. Go to My Computer.
  3. 180px-sansa_839.jpg magnify-clip.png Click on: Sansa E250 (Or E260, E270 or E280).
  4. 180px-media_503.jpg magnify-clip.png Folder: Media Click on the folder: Media.
  5. Click on the folder: MUSIC.
  6. Minimize that window, and open My Music (or where ever you have the music that you want to put on your Mp3 Player)
  7. Drag and drop the music to the folder: MUSIC (that you minimized in step 6) (or you can copy and paste [Ctrl + c to copy, Ctrl + v to paste] the music)
  8. Unplug the USB cord, and ENJOY!
Hope that helps

My computer wont reconize my mp3 player

Down load the firmware on Sansa's website. I have a Sansa 250R and it wouldn't work with the new replacement usb (Griffin) cord I bought at Best Buy. So I bought a Sansa Fuze and the cord that came with it worked on the E250R. Huh? Yeah, go figure...and oh, that replacement Griffin usb cord I bought worked fine with the new Fuze. I came real close to buying a new battery for the E250R but instead invested that money in the Fuze.

Cant get sandisk to transfer files from player to windows media player

Make sure the songs are in the proper format suggested by the product spec sheet, or else they will look like they are transferring but won't actually play.

Music Videos

I'm not an expert, but I do have a Sansa e250, too. Sounds like you need to download a Sansa Media Converter.

Here's the link: http://www.sandisk.com/driverdownload/download.asp?driverId=184

Once that is downloaded and installed, open it, plug your Sansa into the computer by USB cable, click "Add media". Then you should see a window that says "Add media" Select the media you want to put on your Sansa. Once the media is added, then click "Convert". After it is finished converting, it should be on your Sansa. Hope that helps!

I can't put songs on my Sansa Sandisk e250....

Hey to get music onto the Sansa e250R you have to plug the Sansa into the computer. Next go to mycomputer. Then onen ethier sansa or Removable Disk(F:). Then take the songs you want and drag them on to the white space under photos and vidos and all that other files. DO NOT PUT IT IN A FILE.
