2 things i have noticed recently. First o*** the basket has always been "tight"...you can't spin it around. Well I noticed my husband was forcing it to spin around to locate loose socks. Then it seems to have gotten "loose". I had him take it apart to check if a belt came off. He said it was fine. This was around a month ago. Last night my last load was dripping wet when the load was complete.

If water shuts off when it is supposed to, then the leak is most probably from the drain pump hose connection or the pump itself. If it doesn't shut off when it should then there is either a faulty water valve or a bad water level pressure switch.

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE OUTER BAND TO HOLD ON THE DOOR BOOT/SEAL. WHAT I HAVE SEEN IS THAT AN ARTICLE OF CLOTHES WAS NOT ALL THE WAY INTO THE WASHER AND IT WAS STARTED, PULLING THE DOOR BOOT INTO THE WASHER. THE ONLY OTHER THING I HAVE NOTICED WITH THIS NEW BREED OF SUPER CAPACITY WASHERS IS THAT THEY LIKE BIGGER LOADS TO HELP BALANCE THEMSELVES. IT MAY BE POSSIBLE THAT IT WAS SO SEVERLY OUT OF BALANCE THAT IT PULLED THE BOOT INTO THE TUB AS THE MAYTAGS OF THAT MODEL LINE WERE KNOWN TO NOT BE THE MOST SENSITIVE TO OUT OF BALANCE CONDITIONS. THERE IS A CONTROL BOARD KIT THAT COMES WITH A MOTION SENSOR NOW FOR THEM AS AN UPGRADE.

two problems here,
your shaft seal is running on its last leg
the sound is unmistakeable and always described the same...
the water issue, you probably have a trickle leak through the cold water valve
the mixing valve is quite an easy repair, but I would have to say with all honesty, it probably time for a new machine
the hub seal is a tub replacment call
2 hrs of labor if hes good
and the tub runs around 500.00 dollars
sory for the bad news

Have you paid any attention if the dood lock light is coming on? If not check the Machine control board on the under the top of the dryer. There is a circuit board on the right front. On the board there is a resistor identified as R11. if it is burnt then the board and wax motor on the door latch assembly need replaced. If the lock light is coming on then you could have a bad Motor / Motor Control Board problem.

you may need to put some anti vibration shock pads under the legs or some two sided tape to put on the feet to help secure it to the floor it may be slipping on the new floor surface
D11 is a motor speed error .
is the inner drum turning under power or not?
