My roomba runs in circles - iRobot Roomba 4210 Bagless Robotic Vacuum

mine goes in circles also. i note that one of the wheels doesn't turn as well as the other, so that explains the circles i guess, but not the problem. i've blown out the entire wheel assembly with compressed air and put it back together, but no improvement

Try using a leaf blower, up close and all around. I was having problems with (I assume) the sensors under the bumper and (maybe) the wheel sensors, but after blowing it out with a leaf blower it works fine.

SOURCE: roomba red #4100 needs repair does the circle

sounds like you have two different issues here. (Possibly one common)
Clean out the cliff sensors. Under the bumper. blow it out clean. This might stop the reverse circling. The battery is either bad, or the charging circuit is bad. if battery is know good then the problem is the main board needs to be replaced. a bad battery will kill a main boards charging circuit by over working it with shorted batteries

SOURCE: Roomba going in circles

Roomba going in circles. Called irobot and if reseting it (by taking out the battery, unplugging it from the charger, and holding down the power button for 30 seconds), didn't work, turn the roomba over, take a compressor and blow air into the front. Maybe a shop vac would also work. We cleaned out the whole thing while we were at it. And now it works just fine. The tech person at irobot was very helpful.

Roomba 560 goes in circles. appears lost

You have a locked wheel switch that needs to be cleared. You will need to remove the top of your roomba and find which wheel switch is clogged and clear it.

My roomba 530 runs in a circle and does not move forward. After 2 minutes it stops with 11 beeps and a flashing red light to the left of the power button. It has no clicking noise. Does anyone know what is...

Hey'
This means Roomba is not registering obstacles. Roomba may be stuck in one place.
Roomba may be in extremely large room, try setting up virtual walls to create smaller area.
If Roomba is not in a large room, tap Roomba's bumper to confirm it is properly working.

Hope this helps

Turns in circles, acts like it hits a virtual wall then stops

Reboot is probably not your solution. Your Roomba will react to invisible signals or 'interference' from other electrical appliances as well as the invisible wall boxes. You can clearly see how this happens when a Roomba gets near your computer or other device that is on. Also, the Roomba will go in circles when the dirt chamber is full or it thinks it's full. Try a thorough clean of all major parts including the brushes. Sometimes this activity will occur when the brushes get snarled on thread or carpet fibers.

My Roomba 560 has started to run in small steps as if it constantly meets an obstacle and turns around in a very small circle. It advances slightly, backs slightly and turns and then does this again and...

It probably does think its met an obstacle. It could be the bump sensor switch remains pressed, one of the 4 cliff sensors on the front is dirty, or one of the 3 wheel drop sensors (left right and caster) is alarmed. Clean the sensors and your problem may resolve.

Running backwards in circles.

If your Roomba's speaker isn't working, you need a new Roomba regardless. Give a call to customer support (877-855-8593) and they'll help you out.

My roomba now just spins in circles in one spot. it does not go anywhere.

Try blowing out your bumper with compressed air. Tap the bumper with your hand to knock loose any obstructions. Then run your Roomba. If the behavior persists, the best way to resolve it is to call customer support. (The number should be in your documentation or on the bottom of the robot.)

Roomba red 4100 cleans in small circle stops starts agains cleans small circle stops then status light comes on and clean button blinks.

When the status light comes on, the Roomba is going to sing "uh-oh," and then beep a number of times. Count the beeps. They're a code that tells you what's wrong with the Roomba. You can check iRobot's website for a chart of beep codes. Search "What is Roomba saying to me?" on the troubleshooting page.
