Norton remove virus including .exe files. So pls don't use Norton its a request. Otherwise you have to reinstall the OS every time. Better you try Symantec Antivirus, it belongs to Norton family & also its a good one...

Norton Antivirus is not free but you can try other better security software such as Microsoft Security Essentials with Comodo Firewall. Both are free and powerful.
