Question about Rowenta Professional DE880 Iron

1 Answer

I have a Rowenta Professional iron that is spitting sometning onto dress shirts and leaving permanent marks. There does not seem to be anyone in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada that can address this problem. Unfortunately I have misplaced the bill of sale. I know this iron was purchased in the last 16 months from home Outfillters here in Winnipeg. The model number is Dx8200 and the other number on the bottom is 4806 This iron has never steam ironed as I would have expected. What or where can I get service. Thanking you in advnace. Lynda

I have a DX8800 and been using natural spring water, since our tap water has a water conditioner. It has been spurting out little white pieces since we have gotten it. What can I do to correct the problem?

The iron probably needs to be cleaned. You can use half water and half white vinagar to clean. Hope this helps. Those white pieces are mineral deposit buildup.

Why does my rowenta iron leave iron marks on my clothes

It's not the iron it's the water in it. Try distilled water and use a commercial cleaner to clean it out

Iron spits out rusty water. The iron is a Rowenta

Fill it with a mix of 50% white vinegar and 50% water. Let it set for 30 minutes and steam it out for about 2 minutes. Unplug it and dump it. After it cools colpletely, fill it with water and steam it out. The rust is coming from your water supply, not the iron.

My rowenta stopped heating , mid-shirt!!......now it seems dead and wont heat at all !.........thanks !!!

The most likely cause is a broken wire in the cord. Replacement should only be done by a qualified electrical appliance repairer. Ask for a quote as it may be cheaper to buy a new iron!
