E MACHINE T1115. I CAN'T INSTALL AN ALL-IN-ONE EPSON STYLUS COLOR PRINTER. THE INSTALL NEW HARDWARE WIZZARD SAYS THE PRINT SPOOLER IS NOT WORKING, BUT THERE ARE NO DETECTIBALE PROBLEMS, WHEN I CHECK HARDWARE DEVICES.I TRIED TO MANUALLY START THE SPOOLER BUT I RECEIVED AN ERROR 1068: THE DEPENDENCY OR GROUP FAILED TO START.
THERE IS AN OLD LEXMARK PRINTER ON THE COMPUTER, I UNINSTALLED ALL PROGRAMS ASSOCIATED WITH IT, BUT IT IS LISTED ON PROGRAMS BUT NO MEMORY WITH IT.

I am at my home computer, where I can print the instructions. If I did this right, then I will download the "Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools Kit," and run cleanspl.exe as directed.

This worked. Thanks so much for the help!!
After I typed in the prompt & restarted the computer, I was able to "uninstall ," the Lexmark Printer and install the new one.

The command should have a few more spaces.

You can copy and paste the next line into the command window, or just type it exactly as it appears below (with all spaces intact):

sc config spooler depend= RPCSS

I tried your recommendation:
Go to-> Run and type cmd
that should be, (type "cmd") (do I actually put in "type cmd or only cmd?)
Then hit return (when I hit return, a black box came-up-C:\\documents and settings\connie hall-the curser was blinking at the end of this, instead of on the next line) Was it fully loaded?
Then you instructed me to type: scconfigspooler= RPCSS then hit return to reboot the computer. I did this but the computer still didn't load the hardware. I just wanted to make sure i typed the right command. please respond.
