Try getting a different keyboard, and plug it in if it works it's your old keyboard if only the space bar works on it too, it could be a blown keyboard port on your computer, then you would have to send it in to get it replaced or get a different mother board

hope this helps

Start up in safe mode, select prompt mode and try if spacebar works, just inoput any text..
If it does works, it's your computer acting up but if not, probably your keybaord is failing and you should buy a new one.

Wired and onscreen keyboard space bar doesnt work

Keyboards are cheap. If you need to use this one then you will need to carefully pop the spacebar key out, turn the keyboard upside down and give it a good shake. You will see a ton of junk fall out ;)

Fix spacebar

On a Desktop, just purchase a new kb for $16 or so. On a laptop, it's an involved process to replace the kb.

To get a space without a spacebar, try these two suggestions:

- Press Alt/32 (that's Alt with 3 2) then release the Alt key.
- Run OSK and click the spacebar.

The actual model number MIGHT get you a repair procedure in a Google or Youtube search for "repair spacebar".

Problemwith spacebar

If you take all those tiny screws out of the bottom of the keyboard you'll see a circuitboard with three copper "design" spots(usually 3) under the spacebar..........the ones NOT in the center of the spacebar are dirty. You could use some alcohol or acetone to clean the outside "designs".....(warning) Acetone will damage plastic!!!!!!!!
there are a lot of rubber caps that WILL fall out of place when you turn it over) (the actual keys could fall out too) (Be careful when you take off the bottom of the keyboard!!!!) Clean the ones that align with the SPACEBAR!!!! Dont touch or clean anything else that wasn't working....... Gently place the bottom back on and screw down the bottom cover with a cross pattern.....(left>right...top>bottom).....If this dosn't work....the best part is that a new keyboard........is fairly cheap....mtg
