You probably wired the dimmer control wire from the car to either a power wire(red or yellow) to it or you wired it to ground- unplug the radio and look for a bad fuse in the car's fuse block- if the lights come on after unplugging the radio your fuse is okay and you have the dimmer control wire wired to the wrong wire

For the stereo the following will work.
I have a 2008 Sonata with satellite radio issues also. Everytime it rains and I have to do any traveling in it, the storage box located in the trunk floods and shorts out the receiver,LIKE OVER THE WEEKEND!!. This will be the fourth replacement and they (Dealership)still cannot fix the problem.
sounds like you have a short in your wiring, you will have to trace back the wiring and check that the battery positive and the ignition positive arnt touching any earths (be sure no wires are trapped between the radio frame and the radio cage in the dash, as all metal parts of the radio are EARTH
