Question about Dacor Preference RSD30 Gas Kitchen Range

Control Panel Problem

My control panel will occasionally show an F0 error message (touch pad stuck in depressed position), and t other times will beep many times with no error message. I do not want to replace the control panel ($400) as others have done this and the problem reoccurs. Can you offer any other advise?

Sounds like a membrane issue and I would certainly call dacor corp and maybe they will assist in the costs. That is if you provide repeated service part replacements.

Hi,

To my understanding error code F1 would indicate a faulty control board, possibly thermistor control. The only recourse is to have this replaced.

This of course would require a fair familiarity of electrical/electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and possibly a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

hello there
This is a verry common issue with these ovens
Here is the meaning and a few things to determine what is at fault i have it listed below
this error code can actually show up as any 1 of these and they all mean the same thing
F0 -
F1 - F7 Stuck keypad
may mean relay is turned on.or has
failed
Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

I'm getting a periodic beeping signal and an "FO" error message from my lower oven. What is it telling me? The oven is a dual electric. Model number 326B1230P001. Thanks. Stanley Hochman

Hi!! Failure Code Fault Code Description Solution F0 Stuck touch pad Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.
Although the manual recommends to replace the touch pad, try unplugging the unit form the wall for a couple of minutes to reset it. It works most of the time.

Dacor oven code FO means keypad is in depressed mode.....and then what?

Hi john56584,

The "F0" error code description is a stock function key. Here are basic test that will help you to determine if the ERC or touchpad is defective.

1. Unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker.

2. Gain access inside the control panel.

3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.

4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.

5. Turn the power back on.

6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the code comes back.

7. If F0 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

F7 is a stuck key. Usually you can't get a key unstuck. Best thing to do is replace the keypad / user interface. Here are some of GE's error codes:
