I have a Packard Bell Imedia desktop not sure of the model. It was working fine until recently, I switched on my pc and after the boot screen "NTLDR is missing Alt Ctrl Del" message appeared....

Remove the hard disk and attach it to an USB hard drive adapter and then connect it into the USB port of a working computer. This computer will detect the hard drive as an external storage device, then you can open the various folders and files to copy your files to this computer or burn your data to a CD/DVD disc or USB flash drive.
Return you hard disk back to your Packard Bell so you can reinstall Windows.

Where is the restore to factory settings on a packard bell AMD Sempron(tm) 2002 thanks

If you don't see a message on startup that tells you to press a special function key (like F11), then you will need the system recovery disks that came with the computer.
Assuming that your computer is working, there are other much more complicated ways of restoring the computer.
If you need to do that, ask your question again but state that the computer is working but you have no recovery disks. You can always contact the manufacturer to buy recovery disks, though.

Disk drive not working

If you are not facing any other issues other than playing the CDs, I would suggest you to go for an External Drive and get this issue resolved. In case you are facing many other issues and the computer you are using is not a Pentium 4 or equivalent, I would advice you to go for a new computer with better configuration.

Packard bell registration message

There is a solution for this problem, but you have to be very computer orentated to correct it. First look in the programs listing under startup and see if there is a link there for the PacBell auto start when the computer tarts each time it is turned on. If there is a link there right click on it and delete the shortcut from the startup menu. restart the computer and see if it is still there. if so go back and look in the startup menu selection and see if it has reappeared. If it has then you will have to shut off the windows auto recovery option so it will not replace the missing file when the computer is restarted. Now if this does not work, you will have to get someone that is familiar with the registry files. You do not want to go probing around in there or you may just shut down tour computer permanently. A professional will have to go in and search for the file entry that controls the option and then delete the corresponding registry entries. Regards, rcampsr

Just got old Packard Bell Platinum 55 - Me =computer idiot. start up says "invalid system disk, replace disk, and then press any key" - I tried going to setup, but it asks for password. Don't...

Try this. Remove battery for a few minutes,re insert. This will put it back to the original factory settings, which will not need a password.Good Luck
