Question about TruTech PLV16320 Television
My Trutech PLV16320 refuses to show picture and give out sound when I hit the remote control the light indicator goes out and refuses to come on but when I remove the plug from the wall outlet and re-plug it in the light indicator comes on again but when I hit the remote the indicator goes out again. This is what's happening all the time since I had this problem yesterday March 31, 2008.

I have the same problem. From things I have read on hear it seems to be a capacitor problem. TruTech is made be Alco Industeries. I have tried calling the number in the warrenty with no luck. I called Target last night (not the local store) and was told that number was incorrect and was provided a different number which also failed to work. I called Target back, make sure you get a reference number on your first call. When I told the person the second number wasn't working they immediately, with me even asking. The Manager informed me the Alco has told them the number would be fixed. She then took down all me info and sent it to an internal Alco email address she has. I was told to expect a call or email within two business. If this does not happen I can call her back and she is than authorized to call an internal Alco phone number. She was very nice and very helpful as I was talking to her, but she seemed very guarded about what she could say, and how she said it. That makes me wonder if there aren't legal issues going on they can't talk about. Sorry to be so long winded but, people on this site have been helpful to me so I thought I would pass along what I know. Good luck to all.

I had to jump thru some hoops, if you want my opinion, I think there are legal things going on between Target and Venture Electronics, formerly known as Alco, the suppliers of Trutech. I was giving two numbers to try from a woman at Target, who was very nice and helpful, but unwilling to elaborate to much. When both numbers failed she sent a Venture tech an email on my behalf. Two days later I was contacted by a rep who all of my info. The long and short of it is that I am right now two weeks later watching my formerly broken tv. Venture paid for my shipping both ways and fixed the tv. The tech did admit that the capacitors are a problem but in some cases there have been other issues as well. The tech I worked with might get pissed at this but who cares. The tech number is (905) 477-7878 his name is David, and his ext. 5095. He is very helpful but you have to stay on top of him, I had to call every other day for a week to get the shipping tag so I send them my tv. Good luck to all hope everyone is able to have the success I have.

Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the board that the power cord is hooked to.If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again.I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!

Seems like a power supply problem you need to get an engineer to check it out
