I'd refer to the book that came with it and call tech support, but before you do that try searching the rear of the TV or a screw or a dial that you adjust for channels

hope this helps

214-Dimm Config Warning

Just had same problem. Found a solution:
I have an old HP Compaq dc5000MT. It has 4 RAM slots
Here's what DIDN'T work:
1gb + 1gb + 512mb + 512mb
1gb + 512mb + 512mb + 1gb
512mb + 1gb + 1gb + 512mb
Here's what DID work:
1gb + 512mb + 1gb + 512mb
I'm sure that:
512mb + 1gb + 512mb + 1gb would probably work as well.
From my guess they're are 2 "channels" (slots 1&2 are channel 1, slots 3&4 are channel 2) and you have to keep the amount of RAM balanced on both slots and in the same order.
Another thing to note with the old XP OS. IT ONLY WORKS WITH 3GB or RAM. MAX. So 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 (4gb) WILL NOT WORK... PERIOD for XP. Vista, 7, 8 etc. allows you to use a ton more ram + readyboost. They need all the help they can get though since they are major resource hogs.

Acer aspire m5100, AMD Athlon 64bit x2 dual core processor 5000+ 2.60Ghz. Win Vista Business 64bit. When i upgrade and put more than 3GB of ram into the machine, it turns off the lan and my display driver...

Acer official site says:-
Up to 4 GB DDR2 533/667/800 MHz SDRAM
(dual-channel support on four DIMMs)

Try these bus speeds and for dual-channel support read this article :-

Dual-channel architecture requires a dual-channel-capable motherboard and two or more DDR, DDR2 SDRAM, or DDR3 SDRAM memory modules. The memory modules are installed into matching banks, which are usually color coded on the motherboard. These separate channels allow each memory module access to the memory controller, increasing throughput bandwidth. It is not required that identical modules be used, but this is often recommended for best dual-channel operation. It is possible to use a single-sided module of 512 MB and a double-sided module of 512 MB in dual-channel configuration, but how fast and stable it is depends on the memory controller.

If the motherboard has two pairs of differently colored DIMM sockets (the colors indicate which bank they belong to, bank 0 or bank 1), then one can place a matched pair of memory modules in bank 0, but a different-capacity pair of modules in bank 1, as long as they are of the same speed. Using this scheme, a pair of 1 GB memory modules in bank 0 and a pair of matched 512 MB modules in bank 1 would be acceptable for dual-channel operation.

Modules rated at different speeds can be run in dual-channel mode, although the motherboard will then run all memory modules at the speed of the slowest module. Some motherboards, however, have compatibility issues with certain brands or models of memory when attempting to use them in dual-channel mode. For this reason, it is generally advised to use identical pairs of memory modules, which is why most memory manufacturers now sell "kits" of matched-pair DIMMs. Several motherboard manufacturers only support configurations where a "matched pair" of modules are used. A matching pair needs to match in.

Good luck

Virtual sound card

He suggested a Virtual cable redirect and it works 100% perfectly. I found and downloaded Virtual Audio Cable - http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.html - set up is kinda straightforward but easy to adjust. Best of all it costs only 21€.

I have been "streaming" 5 distinct test feeds since installing yesterday as
follows;
5 instances of Raduga with 5 different playlists using 5 "Virtual Audio Cables" - input
5 instances of Windows Media Player connecting to 5 "Virtual Audio Cables"
- output
I can hear each stream on other PC's on my office network, but not in real
time obviously.

At the moment each stream is using one channel only, but this is because I
have selected that option (my working project needs only mono feed) and for a short time these test feeds will be online if anyone wants to check them out on http://81.36.215.171:8082 through 8086.
As I will be tweaking and playlisting there may be short periods when a particular feed is offline.
