The default password of the router is admin. If you have set up a password before, it will not recognize the default admin.Hold the reset button of the router for 10secs and it will retrieve the default admin...To change the default password, launch internet explorer (pc should be connected to the router hardwired), type on the address bar, 192.168.1.1--it will prompt for a user name and password, leave user name blank and password will be admin...It willl bring you to the set up page of the router..click on the administration tab and from there you can create your new password for your router.

hope this helps,

Havent used it for a while and it keeps asking for a pass word when i try to set it up on my new labtop and i cannot remember pass word is any way to reset it with a new pass word

reset your router (usually). Most have a small hole in the back or on the bottom and it usually says "reset". You use a ball point pen and insert that into the hole and hold down for a few seconds. You should see the lights cycle off and on on the router. Once it is reset you can connect to the router by opening up your browser and typing in the address bar: 192.168.0.1 That is a default address. You will get a prompt for username/password type: admin for user name with no password or admin for both (it depends on the router.). That will get you in to the router settings. There you can set a new password.

Good luck!

Password from ISP or router? IF you dont know pass from ISP, you can check from your ISP.
But if you forget PASS for router, then i sugget that you try setting back your router. Reset it back and setting it again

How do you set a password on the x6 zoom wireless router

Connect to the router through your browser. (Internet Explorer/Firefox/Opera) Open your browser and where you would type in www.google.com type 192.168.1.1, login, if it asks for a user/pass there is a couple different ways to do it if its all still default settings. Some routers are different when it comes to login defaults so here are some suggestions.

1)
Login: Admin
Leave password blank and try logging in that way

2)
Login: Admin
Pass: Admin

3) Motorola users
Login: Admin
Pass: Motorola

If this doesn't help my aim is candidate4death. Throw me a IM.

Is there any computer online using the router.
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router.
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
router set up page is the page where you can check all the router settings.

I lost the pass word for my Linksys. how do I get

You will have to reset the router itself. On the back of the router is a reset button, it will return the router to its factory original settings. You will have to reconfigure it according to your previous settings.
