bit tricky as you have to dismantle the door first then remove black back pannel to acces screw to the handle.best of luck be carefull not to pry open the pannel by using too much force
The magnetron is arcing on the inside because of bare metal or food partical buildup, this needs attention right away before the magnetron is distroyed. Take warm soapy water and clean until spotless, if that fails! have someone check it.
Normally the internal part of the door is not cleaned as there is a film stuck over the inside of the door stopping food and steam from entering the inside parts.
To clean between you need to remove one of the pieces of glass...usually the inside is the best....
There are a few screws on the inside of the door theat hold the frame, which holds the inside glass...
remove the frame and carefully remove the inside glass... clean the inside of the outside glass, then clean the inside of the inside glass and then reinstall the froame over the inside glass...
Yes if you can find someone to supply it as a spare part. Clean any grease or debris from behind it too. Often there are little plastic rivets that hold it on. You might as well order them too. If it burnt too bad there will be a carbonisation on the panel too which must be cleaned off as it will attract the microwave energy.
Before ordering anything, remove the burnt panel and run the microwave with just a cup of water in it to make sure it still works fine.
Whatever you do, do not open up a microwave oven cabinet, they are very dangerous inside. If you cant remove the panel from within the cooking cavity then leave well alone and get an engineer to look at it.
I just had the same problem with my microwave. First DISCONNECT THE POWER. Remove the front top grill (screws are on top of microwave). Unscrew the one screw at the top of the control panel and lift it out of the way. You will see three micro switches to the left of the pannel. I bent the metal frame they were mounted to by hand to move them back into place. The microwave oven works great now. If this does not help, then I would consider replacing the top limit switch.
