Yes, and if it runs into a dead cat on the pool bottom, that may also stop it.
Seems logical that you wouldn't expect it to clean a pool with sticks and branches in it.
It's not an underwater mulcher!

This usually happens when there is a small stick jambing in the bottom of the openning in the Kreepy Krauly where it sucks in the water and rubbish. It is the rubber tube that has a ****, usually something is jambed in the **** to prevent it from thumping.

Kreepy krauly not cleaning whole pool
If the pool hose has been used for a long time it becomes set in a particular position. Twist the hose at least at leasr 90 degrees so that the hose is set in a different configuration and the Kreepy krauly will go to a different part of the pool.

Can't get my creepy crawler to work in my pool, i have a purex triton filter system, i can't get any suction on from the crawler
It sounds like your automatic pool cleaner might have a leak that is causing the pump to lose its prime. Check the hose to make sure that there are no leaks or cracks. Check the vacuum connection. It should be submerged so no air enters the system. Look and check the pump basket lid for looseness, cracks, and worn or missing O-rings.

Check to make sure that you do not have an obstruction in the flaps or in the throat of the cleaner. Often, the tiniest particles that become lodged can cause these pool cleaners to stop moving. Also, check your water flow.

You need to check in by the flapper for obstruction and check inside the tubes also. Provided the water flo is good. If this does not help you need to work backwards to the pump to look for the problem. Usually if you put a small sponge in the suction pipe and it does not come out in the pump basket then your problem is somewhere in the suction pipe.
