I've had exactly the same problem, i spoke to a technition at nokia who
said that he'd worked there for 4 years and never seen a problem like
this before. then i went into the carphone warehouse where i was told
that it was a software problem that had caused this random glich. he
advised me to send it away to T-mobile and get them to either fix it,
send me a replacement handset or upgrade me to the new n78 since the
n73 is no longer being made. good luck fixing it!

1. In Set Up you must select the language you want to use by highlighting it then PRESS OK. If you don't do this then the date/time will not set. 2. When asked to set date and time you must select YES and press OK. 3. After completing each step you must press OK. 4. In the final step you must choose your preferred day/month/year display and then press OK. If you don't press the OK button at each step the date and time will not set.
Have you set the date and time? If so then your camera's date battery is probably dead and needs to be replaced. First get yourself a CR1220 battery, most often found at your local Radio Shack or online at amazon. Then open the camera's terminal cover (where your USB is) and using your fingernail. Open the battery holder, remove the old battery, and replace with the new one. Reinsert the holder with new battery in your camera and turn on your unit. set the date and time and you should be all set. For further information see your instruction manual or download from Canon at:
Its because your battery is removed.......to keep the date and time intact there must
be some extra charge to keep it going like CMOS battery in computer...
If your battery is removed then the clock will be reset....
you should give the "restore factory setting" once ,after you give this option you will be asked for the security code enter that .. and after the restoration is complete restart your mobile once and check it ...
if you still persist the same problem then you must upgrade the firmware software ..
you can do that only if you have the data cable ...
you can do firmware software upgrade by downloading the application from the website given below :
but remember not to turn off your mobile or remove the battery while updating is in progress ...
u can do dat by typing in *#7370# on ur N73 Music Edition but hey dont forget to back up all ur data in the phone memory like CONTACTS,USER SETTINGS,MESSAGES AND THEMES DAT UVE INSTALLED in the PHONE memory.nothing will happen to ur memory card.u can back up ur data by using the pc suite with cable (thru bluetooth it will take lotta time) by entering this code ull be doing a HARD RESET of ur fone i.e back to factory settings.it'll ask u the confirmation and after that the fone will restart automatically and will ask u to set date time etc like u did when u purchased it.after that u can restore all ur data that u backed up using PC Suite.ive done dis a lotta times so its safe and gud.BUT DONT FORMAT UR MEMORY CARD EVER CUZ IT CONTAINS SOME FILES THAT U CANT RESTORE EVER.
