Question about Video Game Consoles & Games
I am looking for a schematic or block diagram to help me repair 4 R2D2, There are 2 Microprocessors involved, op amps, comparators and an analog multiplexer. The 2 pcbs have surface mounted components and are tooooo hard to trace. I have been unable to get support from Hasbro, and unfortunately do not know the name of their supplier.
Do you have a source to shed some light on the schematic or block diagram?
Sorry Ron, dont have the information you require. What is the problem with the R2 unit. Can I assist you in fault finding? Multilayer boards make servicing difficult indeed, it may even be an interlayer connection causing the problem. If masked processors were used, parts may be difficult to get. Have you checked things like DC/regulator conditions, reset devices to micro's, clocks working and so on. More involved repairs are hard to acheive on any modern firmware controlled equipment.
