On my galaxy s 5 phone it started today dropping the WiFi signal every 2-4 seconds and I can't do anything that is done through the WiFi

You should test the connection with another phone, tablet or wireless computer, to exclude the router. If the other device also suffers from the connection, you know it must be the router. Only when you 100% certain (Don't make assumptions, always test) it is not the router, you could start with the phone, like to reset it or setup the complete connection again.
B.t.w. when your phone does connect to another router and works fine, agin that would be prove your router needs all the attention.

Netgear65 n750 not effective 40 ft. away

If the router has "N" value it should run a good distance away, even to the neighbors home. If "G" 30 Feet to 50 feet max.
40 Feet is difficult if passing through thick walls or steel buildings. If it is not an "N" router, then you need that or an Extender system. See TigerDirect for hardware replaements.

Channel: 9 power:9
Channel: 10 power:10

It is possible that a neighbor purchased a wireless access point that it on the same channel and they are competing. Change your wireless channel. You could also try a hard reset. Instructions at D-Link's website. Good luck!

not sure if the router far will reach that far due to interference within your network. just try to change wireless channel to 9 or purchase a range expander.

The second computer wont receive the signal from di 524 router

Try updating the wireless card in the computer. Then try to update the firmware of the router. Last try to connect to it with the computer right on top of the router. You might be to far away from the router.

Wifi range problem on Acer Aspire 5100 notebook

Move the router away from the computer, like on the top shelf of the desk, and away from any cordless phones and other devices.
Try moving the antenna as well, choose a diffrent channel like 11 instead of default 6.
It sounds like you are getting some stron RF interference from one of the devices near the router.
I hope this helps resolve your issue.
Good Luck.

How to connect two remote device with a phone line in between.

no, not with a phone line... you could but making a bridge connection with an utp cable... but with all respect, if you were thinking about a telephone cable you are surely not qualified to do that bridge without assistance... so i recommend the following.

You surely know that UTP cable (lan cable) supports a distance up to 90 metres which is about 295 feet. If you need to go outdoor for that connection i would recommend outdoor cable for that connection its very cheap... and you dont need two routers if you just have four computers tops...

other stuff like amplify antennas might help your reach the far away computer via wireless...

other way is to find info on how to build a bridge with two routers on the net by searchin on google, its not that hard, but you still need utp cable... never phone line.

Check to make sure your using the correct power supply. I have seen people mix up their modem power supplies with their router and it do something similar to that.
