SOURCE: mounting snow blade to lawn tractor

It attaches the the front of the tractor. Similar to a plow to a truck. If you don't have the brackets, you will need those, or make your own. You can see a picture of the brackets if you go to sears.com. Click on the PartsDirect link at the top, and enter the blade model number.

SOURCE: Craftsman lawn tractor model new battery drains quickly...

it could be the stator in the engine check the voltage with the volt meter when its running if its low check connections on battery & voltage if its below 12.5 volts then its the stator but the only thing is the engine should run with-out the battery so there is something else going on there is a fuse in the electrical system if theres a short that fuse will blow & engine will stall

Steering skips

Three things need to be checked. The steering shaft for play, the pinion gear on the end of the steering shaft and your stationary gear at the bottom. Raise the hood, turn the wheel back and forth so you can see where the play is coming from.

I have a 42" craftsman tractor... when you turn all the way to left the wheels get stuck... can I adjust anything?

What happens when you turn right? Does it turn as sharp as it used to? Almost sounds like the steering gear teeth have slipped and now it is steering to far to the left. You'll have to check the steering sector gears at the bottom of the steering column.

Problem for Craftsman 20 hp 42 in. Deck Lawn Tractor - ca model wheel alignment: both wheels point outwards

the bar connecting the wheels is bent. this is easy to change. just pull the pins out on both sides and lift the rod out. you can straighten it in a vise or order a new one through sears. cost about $12. our local repair shop keeps them on hand.

Craftsman Lawn tractor - When turning to the left the Left front wheel turns much farther then the right front wheel does on a hard right turn. Almost perpendicular to the tractor. Busings are brand new....

I've noticed this on other Craftsman and MTD mowers. The ones with the one main steering rod from the steering wheel to the left wheel and a connecting rod from the left wheel to the right wheel. I think that since we are advised to mow in a counter-clockwise direction, they design the mowers to turn tighter towards the left. It's in the design just like you suspected.

Craftsman 19.5 42 lawntractor, steering started clicking, then would nto turn wheel. Bar underneath unattached hitting ground. Do not know where it goes. How can I fix.

not a expert just trying to help,,sounds like you have two or mor problems,, first the bar will only go to one side of the front wheels,if it does not snap into place, you will have to replace the joint.,, the clicking sound maybe the steering unit sliping,,look down from steering wheel follow the shaft down to the steering gears,, they might be worn out.. hope this help you
