I accidentally deleted my hp director icon from my computer i dont know how to restore my hp director

Hi,

If you have just deleted the icon from desktop and not uninstalled then we can put a shortcut back on desktop

Click on START button
click on MY Computer
OR
Open MY Computer icon from Desktop

Open Local Disk C:\
Open Program Files
Open HP Folder
Open Bin Folder
You will find a file by name HPDIREC
Right click on the file name and Click create shortcut on desktop ( this icon will not look exactly like the HP Director icon you deleted )

Close the window and you will find the HP Direct icon on desktop

If not, you can uninstall the software from Add/remove programs under control panel and install the latest software for your printer. Click on the download button below to open HP website to download the software by selecting your operating system
Download

*Note : HP Director is not longer designed by HP. IT is replaced with a new Software called HP Solution Center

Hi as soon as i click copy project on PT Publisher it says disc loaded but at same time a box pops up saying unhandled exception and then the whole program closes down.

Please use these instructions below to completely remove the program.
1. Go Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Find PTPublisher and click Remove.

2. Go to C:\Program Files\Primera Technology. Delete the "PTPublisher" folder

3. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PTI. Delete the "PTPublisher" folder. (The "Application Data" folder may be a hidden folder)
On Windows Vista and Windows 7 go to C:\ProgramData\PTI. Delete the "PTPublisher" folder.
Do not delete the "Drivers" folder from PTI.
Note: This folder contains your log file and personal settings such as default print quality, burn speeds, and default file locations. If you delete this folder, all settings will be returned to their factory defaults and the log file will be cleared. Rename this folder to "PTPublisherOLD" if you think you may want to retain this information.
4. Remove Burn Engine.

32Bit Windows - Browse to C:\WINDOWS\system32 and delete the following 4 files from the System 32 folder:

Px.dll
PxMas.dll
PxSub.dll
PxWave.dll

and
Pxhelp20.sys from the following location C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS

64Bit Windows - Delete the following files from C:\windows\sysWow64

-px.dll
-pxmas.dll
-pxsfs.dll
-pxwave.dll

and one file from here C:\windows\system32\drivers
-pxhelp64.dll
Also delete the PX storage folder located at c:\program files\common files
5. Reinstall the latest software from the installation disc or from the files downloaded from our download site.

6. Reboot the PC. (Do NOT reboot until you have reinstalled PTPublisher)

Latest PTPublisher Software Version is here.

J6480 fatal error 2753 MSI.dot4wrp during full driver install. I tried uninstalling al related hp drivers, all the HP advice. Disabled firewall, services etc. Do you have a solution that works?

you can try with installing the windows installer 4.5 and then try.. otherwise reinstalling windows might work because the error you are getting is related to installer.. and its a service of windows itself which is responsible for all the software installation..

Failed Error During Installation. MSI.dot4wrp...Error Code 2753' Message Displays on the Computer in Windows XP and Vista

This is an internal installation error. There can be 2 solutions:---- Solution 1:-- Find all of the hpqwrg files and delete them before installing the software:
  1. Click Start .
  2. Click Search ( Find for Windows 98).
  3. Click Files and Folders .
  4. In the Named entry box, type hpqwrg .
  5. Set the Look In entry box to C: .
  6. Click Search Now ( Find Now for Windows 98).
  7. Click Edit , and scroll to Select All .
  8. Delete all files pertaining to hpqwrg . There will be approximately five to six files.
  9. Be sure to empty the recycle bin of these files also.Solution 2:---- Completely uninstall the higher version of software and reinstall the lower version first, follow the steps below in order:
    1. Uninstall all of the HP Photo and Imaging software (for both of the products). (The uninstall program can be found in theControl Panel in Add/Remove Programs ).
    2. Re-install the lower version of the software.
    3. Re-install the higher version of the software. Thank you Sir.

Error Code: 2753 " Fatal Error or error MSI.dot4msi"

CAUSE:
Certain HP services (and associated DLL files) were somehow partially/improperly installed. (Possibly, from a previous failed install?)
The Windows services (files) were:
Pml Driver HPZ12 (C:\Windows\System32\HPZipm12.dll)
Net Driver HPZ12 (C:\Windows\System32\HPZinw12.dll)
The existence of these 2 files in the System32 directory was causing this error in my situation. Somehow, the installation script was not identifying that these files were already installed (or improperly installed) and failing to properly set them to be installed again.
SOLUTION:
Steps:
1) Check to make sure that the 2 Windows services above are not running (or not installed).
2) Rename/delete the 2 associated service DLL files (this will only be possible once the services are stopped)
3) Run the installation again.

HP Officejet 4300 software installation problem

Try a complete uninstall:

Make sure the USB cable is unplugged from the computer.
[If it is a WinVista Operating System Then in Go to Start> Control Panel> Programs and features delete all the entries you see for HP.( If it promts a restart do not restart now)
Rest all steps wil be same as winXP]
If it is a WindowsXP Operating System then:
Go to Start> Control panel> Add or Remove programs. and delete all the entries you see for HP.( If it promts a restart do not restart now)
Then open my computer> C:drive> Program files> and delete the HP Folder only (not Hewlett Packard)
Then Open C:drive> Program files> Common Files and then delete HP and Hewlett Packard folder.
Then Go to C:Drive> Windows> Temp and empty the temp folder as much as you can.
Then go to Recycle bin and empty recycle bin.
Then Insert the All-In-One CD and cancel the installation process.
Open the content of the CD> and open Util folder> Then CCC> Then click on Uninstall_L4 and follow the on screen process.
After all restart the computer.
And if possible download the software from HP website:

For winXP:

Unistall program for c6180 printer

open your cd, then look for the "util" folder. open it up then again look for "ccc" folder. then look for the uninstall level 1, level 2, level 3, level 4. do first level 1 then level 2 then level 3. warning for HP laptops or desktops, do not perform level 4 uninstall because it will delete all the hp programs including the hp progrmas that are not related to ur printer and this will cause a big big [problem. if your laptop or desktop is not hp then you can perform level 4 uninstall
