I would like to ask a couple questions that might be of some use.

First, does the same issue occur when using the phone with the flip closed? That is, can you use the jog dial and keys on the flip properly?

If the phone works fine with the keypad and jog dial, then you should be able to try to recalibrate the touchscreen.

To re-calibrate the screen:

1. Select Applications tab
2. Select Control Panel
3. Select Device
4. Select Display or Screen
5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
6. Select Yes or No

Second, if you turn the phone off and on again, with the flip open, does anything load by itself, or does the touchscreen react as if something is being pressed?

This may indicate that there is a problem with the hardware.
It is possible to purchase a new touchscreen for under $100 from a few parts retailers such as http://cnn.cn .

It may also simply be a glitch or bug in the software or firmware OS. In this case, you can try a master reset or updating the firmware using Sony Ericssons update service (not compatible with Vista for the P910), or you could use a third party firmware utility such as from DaVinci etc.
If you choose any of the master reset, firmware or update options, you will lose ALL user data on the phone, so you should back it up before you proceed.

My SE G900 has got a touchscreen problem now after the calibration process which now my touchsreen points are wayoff target i cant select the bottom left option of Save , Call , Done Option Cant go thru...

Alright, i know this is old, but i hope i can help those guys/gals, i recently bought the phone and i had this problem too, i dont know if it will work, but its worth a try, when i tried everything, i started losing hope, but i tried knocking the phone on something soft like a towel or the bed mattress, then it works wonderously, and i heard some people accidentally dropped their phone on the ground etc, and it works like normal again... although i would never recommend dropping the phone on hard surfaces, just try knocking on your bed mattress (do not EVER knock on the metal area, im not responsible for any damages), or put a towel on your lap and knock it few times with the screen face down (of course, just knock slowly, dont put too much pressure...) hope this helps!, and sorry for the long phrase of boringness!

G1 touch screen not working

my workaround is to charge with a different power source, or stop charging. i think it's the power source. for me, the touchscreen goes crazy when i'm charging via usb with this old computer, but it's fine when i stop charging. it's probably an unclean power source messing with the capacitance sensor.

Stuck in flight mode says "phone off"

From the Samsung web site:

How Do I Access Airplane Mode On My MetroPCS SCH-I220 (Code) Phone?

Although the handset does not feature the traditional airplane mode function, all wireless connections can be disabled while still allowing the use other common tasks, such as Microsoft Office Mobile applications, Windows Media Player and games.

To disable all wireless connections follow the steps below:
  1. From the home screen, press the left soft key for Start
  2. Press the left soft key for More
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Connections (6)
  5. Select Wireless Manager (1)
  6. Highlight All then press the OK button to disable all wireless connections
To turn off flight mode, repeat these steps and it should turn your phone back on.

Touchscreen doesnt respond

Hi Your touch screen is part of your LCD and it was connected together thru a small thin cable and it is fragile. When this cable is bad or lost contact , your touch screen is disabled. Only way is to open the case and replace. The method to replace it was tricky. If you make a mistake, you can damage your LCD or scratch it. Please visit these sites for some information: 1) http://www.pocketpcman.com/index.html 2) http://stores.ebay.com/ElecRealm (Store sell Touch Screen) 3) http://www.pdaparts.com/ I hope these information will help you to find the solution for your MDA. Actually, I am repaired all phones and PDA too. If yo need for my help, you can email me at joe_dao2003@yahoo.com. I am writing a lot instruction of how to repair or replace the housing and LCD/touchscreen or can be called digitizer. Good Luck. Regards, Joseph
