Question about JVC TH-S3 System

1 Answer

No sound System has been working fine for about 3 years. We switched it on the other day and there is no sound. All the lights are working ok and you get the usual 'click' from the system when it switches on. Checked all connections, even checked fuses inside.....

When playing a DVD the sound at no particular time just switches off. The movie still plays but the subwoofer just powers down, subsequently having no audio.

I have been unable to find the product in JVC's product list. The model number I have is: SP-PMW303

Bose 321 sound fading

Try the following:

1) Switch the unit off completely, using the powerswitch on the back of the bass box.
2) Switch the unit back on via de switch on the bass box.
3) The display should read BOSE 321 and than be dark.
4) Insert a CD and switch the unit on with the remote by selecting the CD/DVD mode.
5) When the sound is now OK, it means that you need to contact Bose to ask them for the latest software update for your unit. After updating your system. The problem will not reoccur.
6) in case the problem continues and at start-up using a CD, no improvement of sound is heard, the system should go into repair. Contact Bose in your country and ask for return instructions.

Hi, You have to make sure you are using the "audio out" from the dvd/surround into the "audio in" on your TV also in some case TVs will need to change the "input" with your remote to see where you connected your dvd/sur also some TVs have a switch for "n" or "off" for internal speakers and also you could have that option in your audio menu on your TV, Hope it help, good luck. Speakers buzz with no sound

Is this only with CD, only with THAT CD, or with nothing in particular selected or playing?

Check all connections for tightness as bad cable shield connections will let emitted noise into the system. Ditto for signal or speaker cables routed near power cables, TV's, other electrical sources.

Sometimews reversing the AC power cord polarity can resolve buzz/hum.

No sound from TV thru sony bravia hdx576wf; DVD & CD audio ok.

Could be a sync calibration issue. Try to divert the TV sound to another input source on the Hometheatre system if possible, if it is a go then maybe the TV audio needs to be recalibrated. Make sure TV audio setup menu option has not changed also.

Philips Home Theatre System - no sound or power light on sub woof

reset the device to factory settings, it is written in your manual how to do this. If that doesnot work, unplug the powersocket for about 30minutes, it will cause an internal reset which might solve it.
