Problem for Whirlpool 19.6 cu. ft. Upright Freezer EV200FXM
Loud buzzing noise
I plugged a battery charger for a car in the same port as the freezer and it blew a breaker. Then when I reset the plug and plugged the freezer back in it was making a loud buzzing noise. Currently I am defrosting it.. not sure what to do.

- Yeah... The switch was actually located near the top rack on the right.. once I let it defrost and flipped in back to "noise off" and it is fine now... thank you.Same Problem

IF YOUR FREEZER HAS A TEMP ALARM, USUALLY LOCATED IN FRONT,BOTTOM, RIGHT CORNER, THE TEMP IS PROBABLY ABOVE THE SAFE TEMP FOR FREEZERS, (10 DEGREES) AND SO THE ALARM WILL SOUND.
THERE SHOULD BE A SWITCH IN FRONT TO SHUT OFF THE ALARM UNTIL THE TEMP GETS BACK DOWN TO ZERO. THEN YOU CAN TURN THE ALARM BACK ON.
IF YOU PLUG IN THE FREEZER AND TURN IT ON, IT SHOULD BE BACK DOWN TO NORMAL TEMP (IF IT IS EMPTY) IN ABOUT 24 HOURS. IF IT ISN'T, YOU HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS. CHECK TO BE SURE THE COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING.
