about two days ago the unit started trying to load software without anyone touching head unit. I removed the disk, removed all cables to head then put the nav disk back in. all I get is a message software loading, do not remove disk until complete. then a few minutes later it starts all over again.

Same Problem

-   I have the same problem. I take out all the wires. It seems 2-3 times before it stops. It then tries to download the software. I live in Spain. Are there any workshops that can fix this. I'm also looking for addresses in France and Germany.-   Guest

-   I had the same problem.  Send the receiver and $105 to Long Beach and they will fix the receiver.

Jack7777,

I opened up the Navigation and blew it out with some compressed air and the software loaded up once and the navigation started. Try that.

I unplugged the gps as well as the power buttob from the back. I waited 5 minuts and the Alpine logo reappeared. I was just about to send it in but decided to try one last thing. I hope this helps!

Simple but effective

I also have this problem with my n852a, same screen popping up, and same thing happening--it continually reboots itself 100 percent, then starts over.

I have the exact same problem.

I have the NVE-N852A, It has been working for over 4 years.

Today when I started my car, it worked when I started it again for lunch, it said "Loading new software, do not remove DVD-ROM until the Alpine Logo is displayed". This is not the exact word to word but is approximate.

After the status bar goes to 100%, it reboots and does the same thing again.
