It doesn't do any of that, When I turn it on Toshiba emblem appears then fades, then a marker appears and blinks in the upper left for like a second then that notice saying Windows didn't start successfully comes on.

I have same problem: power supply light comes on, ON light comes on, but no sound from the hard drive and the scree stays black. Worked fine 3 days ago.

Secondary to your hard drvive? If it's secondary to your hard make it the primary. It has to boot the cd drive before the hard drive. Once you have it so it boots to the cd drive before the hard drive, Save and exit. You should then see it on the screen trying to boot from the cd drive. You'll at least see the cd drive light flash. I don't think I ever found out from you what software we'd be using. I had asked you if you have your Windows cd? I hope so.

OK. Maybe I didn't describe well enough what you might be able to try. I didn't want you to let it get anywhere close to Windows. Boot the computer and as soon as you see it say something like enter (F2) or (Delete) to enter setup, do it. It comes up quick and then goes away so be ready for it. First check to make sure it says your cd drive is set to bootable. Then make sure it says your boot sequence is set with the cd drive ( it will probably have the actual model # of your cd drive) to boot BEFORE your hard drive. If you get it to do that, make sure you save and exit. Usually F10 but look on the menu at the top and use that just to be sure. Let me know if you are able to get that far. From now on we're going to work off of this post so when you reply just add a comment and the system will let me know. I'll be waiting to see how it goes.

You need to repair your HDD. you can use a program called spinrite to do this. you can DL it here.

burn to disk
place in drive and bootup.
follow directions and use repair option 5.
Let it run, uninterrupted until it finishes.
when it has finished, remove disk and reboot

After windows screen it goes blank, i know the lcd works because i can choose F2 or F12 and read and choose anything there however when i command it it just goes blank, no cursor, just blue / black ..blank

If the system will not complete boot, try the F8 boot menu and select safe mode and see if the system will boot to windows.
If the system boots to windows, you could have software issues or a startup item causing the system to hang at boot, try turning off the startup group items in MSCONFIG (Start, run, MSCONFIG) and see if the system will boot in normal mode.
If that is not help, hold the Fn Key while pressing the power buttong this should start PSA diagnostics on the system, see if any hardware fails

Acer 5536 boots up goes to screen to select safe mode, tried both modes but after the selection screen goes blank with a little loading circle but goe sno further, no log in screen or anything, please help

Follow the steps below,

Step 1: Shut down your PC completely.
Step 2: Turn on the Power button.
Step 3: As soon as you turn it on start hitting the F8 key on your keyboard until you get to a black screen called "Windows Advanced option". (If you don't get to that that screen but you end up reaching the blue screen than that means you have delayed in hitting the F8 key. start again from step 1.)
Step 4: As soon as you reach "Windows Advanced option" use your down arrow keys to choose an option called "Last know good configuration".
Step 5: Select that and HIT ENTER.

On Startup of my Panasonic CF52, It shows the blue Panasonic screen, then the windows loading screen, then it goes into a bright gray colored screen. It doesnt do anything more. Tried to restart and hit F8...

This is usually a problem associated with NOD32 or Cisco software conflicting with drivers or other software. If you can get past the grey screen even once, uninstall the software and reboot. If you can't get past the grey screen at all, then you might have to completely reinstall windows :(.

I'd look for professional hands-on help in this case if you're not comfortable doing this.

The laptop doesn't boot up always.

I would try the following:
1. Remove the battery completely. If the computer boots properly several times in a row, then the battery may be causing the power supply to do strange things.
2. If you have experience removing laptop components, try removing the hard drive. Because you say the screen goes black (I assume the system powers off) sometimes after the HP logo, I doubt its Windows or a software issue.
3. If HP has a diagnostic CD you can boot to, try that.
4. It may be the power supply acting up. If it charges the battery, and if you can boot to Windows with the battery, try getting a new power supply.
5. Otherwise, it may be the motherboard of the laptop.
