I faced the problem "Boot error shutting down" everytime i tried to turn on the player. Also my PC wouldn't recognize the player when connected. I upgraded the firmware and now the PC recognizes the player and it properly plays my music files. However, I'm not able to use the FM radio as i cannot access this from the player menu.
    Kindly help.
    Thanks,

My MP3 player was working fine. I decided to change some music and suddenly, now all I get is "Boot Error Shutting Down" I called the store where I bought my MP3 player, was told to send it back to the manufacturer at my expence of course. I changed USB ports, installed new ones. Nothing has worked.

Download the nwd-b105 firmware 1.1 (google it) and once you have it connect your mp3 player to an usb port of your pc. run the firmware file you downloaded and check the "delete files" option and run the firmware. you will lose all your files but your mp3 should be functional again. remember that when you do a firmware update you must keep your mp3 connected to the pc, also a if there is for some reason a power failure you may brick your mp3 player. my mp3 player had teh same problem as yours and i fixed it this way. the reason this happens is that sometimes the antivirus delete some system files from your mp3 and thus it cant access its database causing an error and shutting down the mp3 unit. hope this helps!!

Hello every body,

I had the same problem and fixed it using a simple logic.
First Step: Format the Player using the PC. (click with right button on "Internal Device" and select "Format".
Second Step: On the "Internal Device", create this folders: "Music", "FM", "Record" and "Voice".
Third Step: Copy your music into the Music folder.

That`s it!! Go play

BOOT ERROR

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

HELP ME PLEASE with my "sony walkman NWZ-B105F MP3 PLAYER."

make sure your downloading it to the right folder on the mp3 player its usualy the music folder or you can try and use windows media player here are some instructions for that option.
--**Windows Media Player**--
If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.
