most likely the program your useing the webcamera on is not set to use the microphone in the camera.

If your camera doesnt have a microphone then you wont get any sound.

Hi, There is never any driver needed when connecting a microphone to your pc or laptop.
Simply connect the 3.5mm jack to the microphone input on the soundcard of your pc.
Check the settings in the volume control settings at:"Playback" when using the microphone during a live presentation etc."Recording" when making a sound recording or using VOIP like Skype, MSN etc.

Note: this may vary depending on your operating system..

hope it helps..

Noise comes from the cordless microphones when the battery is getting flat. Is there an indicator which can tell me when the battery is about to get flat? I am using an MR-801 a system. How do I avoid this...

Hi, the noise is the sign that the battery is gong flat, that's how the mic was done. When it goes flat,it makes some kind of disturbed sound for you to know that the battery needs to be replaced.

It's normal.

Hello there!

Hmm...your problem is not that explained

If you are having troubles to hear her responses, tell her to volume up her sound input (in this case, microphone) and you volume out your sound output (this case, your speakers) , that would be it!

Camera works but skype tells me the microphone is muted.

Go to Tools | Options | Audio Settings which is how the audio and microphone settings are adjusted in Skype.

Your microphone might be muted in the Windows multimedia sound control panel - if you double-click on the speaker in the Windows taskbar you will get the mixer control panel - select Recording devices if the Microphone is not shown, make sure the MUTE checkbox is clear.

Microphone(MIC)Of head set not working(got removed wrongly)

This usually just gets reinstalled whenever you restart your computer be it Vista or XP. In your case, the drivers for the Microphone probably got deleted. The Microphone driver comes in the package together with the sound card. You'll have to re-install the whole sound card driver to have it start working again. You can do this from the Device Manager. After doing this, the microphone together with the whole sound card drivers should start working again.
