Full charge on new batteries, meter shows full charge, horn works. With motor disconnect engaged will not run. No sign of power to motor. All wires checked for continuity and ok. Terminals clean. Suspect problem is in printed circuir board but can not find diagram anywhere. It does have a switch/relay on the board..
Hi. When the machine is on, does it display a flashing light or LED on the display for a fault code? Is the free-wheel lever switch operating correctly?
You might have a sticky brush in the motor. Take the brushes out and check their condition. If the brush caps are not tight enough then the current arc's on to the side of the brush, and it jams in the brush holder.
Check the resistance through the motor before touching the brushes. Check motor and battery connectors for continuity and any sign of heat or melted plastic. Check operation and resistance of the brake unit. Most controllers in mobility scooters are quite reliable, so always eliminate all other possibilities before looking at the controller. Good luck. Neil.
