If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove
the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.
Using the hex key, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise,
1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly
tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the
walking belt 2 to 3 inches above the walking platform.
Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then,
plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully
walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until
the walking belt is properly tightened.
SOURCE: Belt stops when i walk on it
with item going 2mph, stand on foot rails, hold on handles, with one foot try stopping walking belt-look at front roller while doing this-if walking belt slips around frt roller, its the walking belt loose. at each corner there is an adjustment, with proper allen wrench, turn CLOCK WISE one turn EQAULLY on each side!! Then recheck, keep doing this untill it quits slipping-Small moves is best don't crank.
Now on other hand if walking belt Stops with frt roller, its the MTR dr. belt under the hood, to tighten, with 2 9/16th wrenchs, I loosen mtr mount bolt, with one hand apply pressure to mtr, retighten, or have wife apply this pressure with her foot, but don't over tightn-u want to turn belt 1/4-1/2 inch on side. Also check walking lube under walking belt!!
SOURCE: the walking belt slips to the left when walking
There are two allen bolts (one on each side) at the end of the machine. These bolts adjust the tension on the belt. If they are not adjusted evenly the beft will gradually shift of the more loose side.
SOURCE: i tighten the screws behind the belt but it still slips as i walk
Sounds like the motor drive belt is slipping, remove the motor cover,be careful some models have hidden screws in recessed areas underneath if you remove the correct ones the hood comes off easily. There is a bracket that has a bolt to adjust the motor belt tension. Also if you tightened the walk belt up it may be too tight which could cause it to wear or tear easier, the rule of thumb is tighten the walk belt just tight enough so it doesn't slip.

PROBLEM: The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION: a. If the walking belt has shifted to the left, Start unit @ 1.0 mph using the hex key, turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 of a turn to move belt to the right. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. If the walking belt has shifted to the right, turn the left idler roller bolt counterclockwise or clock wise 1/2 of a turn depends on the tension that will be on the belt take your time and walk on it to feel the belt underneath you Repeat until the walking belt is centered.
SOURCE: belt stops/slips
Sometimes tightening the belt is not the problem> What I would be doing is to get on the machine a determine which of the belt is actually slipping. What happens if the drive belt is glazed slippage occur no matter what you do. With the running belt you may have to it limits of adjustment and the belt can be stretched that no matter how you adjust it it will slip!!
