Question about Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player

3 Answers

No sound Hi, I put a DVD in earlier today to watch it. Later in the evening I put it on and there was no sound. I double checked the remote and it was not on mute. I put other DVD's in and there was still no sound. My sound on my tv works. What is the problem? Do I need a new battery? Thanks, Elise

I have the exact same problem. I will watch a movie and there will be sound and a few hours later I turn the DVD player on and there is no sound but the picture is fine. The cables are clearly fine because I have video and I have tried plugging in a playstation to find that it has sound, so it is just this product. I'd like some advice or solution to this, thank you.

Happened to me before. Smply unplug the power cord and then replug it. You may have to do this again in the future if it happens again. Don't worry, other people have told me they have had the same problem with other brands of dvd players.

Play an audio CD in the DVD. The player will pick up on the audio and then re-insert the DVD and sound will work.

You have to check your cable connections, may bee you connect it in a wrong way, observe this ..
1.from your dvd the output sound should insert into input sounds of your TV.
2.check your remote control of your dvd.if it's working maybe the battery is weak already.replace with new one

Check sound settings . If unit is set to Dolby change it to PCM. Most likely you have already went through other settings. If this does not work let me know the models of he unit and tv and what you have tried already and I will try to help

If pushing the "Slow" button again on your remote or returning to defaults in the menu doesn't return it to correct playback, Sony has a DVP-SR200P for $38 at Walmart.

Have picture, no sound

I've had this trouble too. Not sure how to fix it, but I've found a work-around:

Remove DVD.
Insert Audio CD.
Wait for audio to play.
Remove audio CD.
Reinsert DVD.
Sound should work again.

If you power off the unit, you may have to try this procedure again.

Dont know what to do

Probably not much help. but the 1st thing I would do is check to see if the disc is even turning...put it in with label straight up, then when it fails, eject...odds are severely against the disc being oriented the same way if it spins, so if it hasn't moved, the main drive motor is bound up or dead. Either way, return it.

Lost sound on DVD

I have a CH-DVD 300--not sure how different it is from the 200, but I have the same problem. Putting in an audio CD seems to do the trick, and is less hassle than unplugging (which also works for me).

Random no audio

I have had this happen with this particular brand frequently. I have it plugged in to a power "strip" or surge protector. I find that if I turn the strip off then on again, it resets and fixes the problem.
