There are several makes with different prices, the question is what are YOU going to use it for.
Gaming/Photo/Audio/Video/Movie about $200.00 to $400.00 will get you a decent video card.
CAD/Graphics will be high end video cards close to a thousand or more.

I HAVE A GATEWAY COMPUTER AND IM UNABLE TO PLAY LINEAGE 2 HOW DO I FIX

This could be a variety of things that may be preventing you from playing any games, it could be the power of your computer, memory and CPU speed, mainly Video Memory card may not be enough to play these type of games. For folks that wish to play games you have to have high end type machines in order to really enjoy there things. Standard computers or older ones just do not come with the resources to do such things. Unless you upgrade and read on the box before you purchase "System Requirements" that means a lot and can save you some wasted money. John

How do i upgrade my packard bell imax mini n3600? i want it to wrk better as a gaming computer

This is a media PC and not meant for hard gaming. My advice don't waste your money on this PC to turn it to a gaming PC. The components are all built-in onto the motherboard except for the RAM & HDD.

Multi speed fan on Gateway too loud..

You may have more than one fan.
The fan in the power supply may not be replaced, but you can replace the switch mode power supply with a newer model that has a larger fan that is very quite.
The same goes for the second fan (if you have one) that is inside the case.
Most computer suppliers have better designed and quiter fans.

Im confused between dual core and core 2 duo, which is must i buy for a gaming pc peroformance cost wise

Without explaining in depth. just get Core 2 duo.

Also if you google like "cheep pc gaming rig" good things pop up. A few websites every so often have a build off making computers per price. Like under 500$ under 750$ under 1000$ and so on.

Having problem with new games

What is the Name and model number of your motherboard

The nforce 430 is an older chipset model and may not use the full capacity of the Phenom processor ...some boards won't even boot and there are Bios updates available for others ...etc

The onboard graphics (geforce 6150 se) is negated by the 8800 GTX ...good card......the problem isn't your video card

Your also running PC5300 ,,667mhz ram ....if board is capable of PC6400 ...800mhz ....there could be another speedup

The bottlenck seems to be with the board and possibly Ram

(Again MB model and name)

Also make sure you have all the latest drivers for Vcards ...chipsets BIOS etc......
