Question about Rimage Everest II Printer

1 Answer

Vertical fading lines

My printer (Everest II Rimage Re-transfer Thermal Printer) is off for 5 months, now I decided to reuse it, but it keeps producing vertical fading lines all across the disc, but the black tones are great, very solid, what can it be?

Regards,
Alessandro.

Sounds like dust on the CMY ribbon. Did you try a new color CMY ribbon?

Possibly the printer has dust floating around on the inside, but if balck prints good, that may not be.

Rimage Everest II printer can't be adjusted

Usually this is caused by the black index marks on the transfer roll not being indexed properly. Look at the used transfer rolls and you will see small black lines that the printer used to index the print. Either they will not be crisply printed on the transfer pointing to a bad ribbon, bad or dirty printhead. OR, the sensors are dirty that read this index mark.

Replacing the hallogen lamp of the rimage everest ii

Replacing the hallogen lamp is a big job. Usually it is adviseable to purchase a refurbished printer at less cost. I can help you with either solution.

I have a Rimage Everest ii printer that prints 3/4 of the lable and the rest of the lable remains on the transfer roll

This is usually a set screw that has loosened up on the heat transfer roller. There is a gold colored gear that rotates the heat transfer roller, when the screw backs out the roller does not turn causing the issue you are seeing.

Looks like these devices are at end of service life, you might try contacting the manufacturer for the software. Try this link to their website and contact information. http://www.rimage.com/support/end-of-service.html North America 866-587-5903

Where can I buy a cleaning kit for my Rimage perfect image thermal printer? thanks

They are available from most Rimage resellers, as well as direct from Rimage.

My company sells the printhead cleaning kits for the Everest II, III, and 600 and the PrismPlus printers - www.techwaredist.com or call 1-800-295-0083 and ask for Mike P.

Why does my printer takes ages to print a disc

The printer will take about 5 min to print the first disc as it needs to warm up and then every disc after will take 60 ~ 90 seconds depending on the quality settings.

Having problems with the rimage everest printing vertical streaks a lighter shade of the color that should be printing

The rollers under the Transfer ribbon is dirty, I am sure if you look at the streaking it will line up with these rollers. Clean them with alcohol.
