Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I'm trying to find the serial port codes to add to an application we developed to turn on/off our overhead projectors from the computer. The computer has a serial connection to our projectors and it works with all of them but out new Sanyo PLC-XU101 and I can't seem to find any documentation on this. Maybe they are the same for older models but I wanted to see if anyone already has figured this out.
The WXU10 has a different serial port and completely different command protocols from the other Sanyo ranges! Assuming you have the serial cable (9D to 6P rather then 9D to 8P on a standard Sanyo, you will need to use completely different codes!
The manual available from Sanyo for this model has a table of codes, but instead of the more common ASCII 'C' Commands (e.g. "C00"+(CR)) it uses a string of 13 HEX characters, each string starting with a BE EF header, some other control parameters and finally an XOR checksum of all the previous bytes....no LF or CR at the end, Just pure hex values.
Not easy to remember, either....you WILL need the table from the manual!

They might be the same if the Projectors are from the same series.
First figure out if the RS232 codes are in ASCII or HEX. You will most probably be using the HEX codes.
Best would be to contact the dealer you bought this unit from - they should by all means be able to help you out.
