I am trying to connect my Samsung Sch-u740 to my pc with a usb cable. I am trying to sync music on it. I bought cyon gear usb cable designed for it, but when i plug it in nothing happens. When using Samsung pc studio 3, it gives me an error message saying it's not plugged in. How do i get this to work?

If the phone doesn't come with a usb cord, then the easiest way that I've found is loading all the music to a micro SD card and just inserting it back into my phone. If your phone doesn't have a micro sd slot either, and you get internet on your phone, you have to find a mobile friendly download site, which are all over the place. Hope some of this helps.
Susteen Datapilot claims/advertises that their newest version works with this phone. They have a 30 day money back guarantee for what it is worth. About $20 or 30 some dollars I think. I have tried EVERYTHING else. This looks to be your best bet. It is not free, but...
I have wondered the same thing myself and have done a lot of research for it. I don't believe it is possible b/c the music memory is seperate from the actual phone memory. Ringtones are in the phone memory and the music you sync to the phone is in the music memory. If they were one and the same you'd be able to create ringtones out of the music you sync to your phone.
If you are a Verizon user...after connecting your phone to your PC with USB cable....go under Get It Now....select Muic & Tones....select Sync Music. You should connect. Then on your PC look under My Computer and you should see your phone as a drive. You can then copy music from your PC to this drive....this adds it to your cell.
it might not work because as i know the maximum external mem that you can put in sch-u740 is just 2-gig micro sd... that's why it won't work and there were times that it might shut down or turned off automatically....
