Yes a broken belt you can replace yourself, just remove the back panel loosen the motor bolts and replace the belt then re tighten the motor and make sure that the belt is taught, cost about 20 dollars and will take roughly 30 minutes to repair yourself. Make sure that you unplug the system before you start working on it

1996 Lincoln Continental Problem with rear seatbelts stuck half way out. Is there someway I can fix them myself?

No we never even attempt to fix seat belts, we replace them without exception. Think of the liability involved!

Having trouble with my Cub Cadet tractor model 1515, all of a sudden it doesn't want to go up hills. Flat surface it's fine. If I pump the gas/ foot pedal it helps but it really struggles. Could this be...

Could be a worn belt, low on fluid or its going bad. Start with the belt and yes you should be able to replace it. Before you take it off...draw a diagram of how the belt goes around the pulleys. I think yours is a straight shot so it should be fairly simple.

My altinator belt broke off on my 2002 kia can I fix this myself?

You have install a new serpetine belt and it can be harder than you think.you have to pull back the tensioner and install the new one but you may have another problem which unless it was an old belt you need to check your water pump, idler, alt. for freeness, make sure one hasnt locked up causing the belt to fail.

2003 s type jaguar sealt belt on the passenger side will not pull down,I think it is twisted. How can I fix this myself?

its kind of hard as the cover needs to come off and the catch that comes up with the belt causing it to lock needs to be held down so the twist can pass back through.

Think belt is bad. Can't get front panel off

most maytags have belt on bottom (underneath) tilt back and check, drain pump pulley is in one corner, motor in other. pump has bearing that usually freezes up. take belt off and check rotation of pump. (motor is adjustable, pump fixed)

Brush roller not moving

This problem has unfortunately plagued many owners of this vacuum including myself. I'm not an expert on vacuums, but through some experimentation I found a workable solution. You can first try a new belt, but that will unlikely solve the problem. For some reason the drive shaft becomes too slick for the belt and so the shaft will spin but it won't catch the belt. I wrapped a piece of electrical tape around the shaft for some added friction, and voila, everything started working again. Eventually, the electrical tape shredded a bit and fell off, but it left enough residue on the shaft to retain friction. I know this sounds like a real hack job, but if you've given up hope on everything else, or you can't return the vacuum, it's worth a shot.
