Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
I turn on the psp and the green lights there, but then nothing comes on, the green light just staying there for a minute or so and then turns off. theres no sign of battery problems and it shows the orange light when its charging. Even when its charging it wont work when its on it. please help
This is most commonly down to corrupted firmware. This problem is usually referred to as a "Bricked" PSP as it leaves the unit useless.
If you PSP is still under warranty contact your local SONY dealer and they will arrange repair. If not DONT PANIC!
There are a number of people on the web now offering a PSP unbricking service.
Or for the more technically minded of you there is plenty of information available on the web about doing this yourself wit the use of a "Pandorra" battery.
Just Google PSP pandorra battery.

Open the battery compartment, and remove the battery. Look at the bottom inside corner for a little square sticker with has marks on it. is it dark or light, If it is dark, your PSP has come in contact with moisture. I suspect that your PSP has gotten wet or damp. If the sticker is dark, you need to keep your battery out for about 2 days, and keep the UMD door open and the whole PSP kept in a dry environment. Try it after 2 days of drying to see if it is recovered. Good luck Gohan....
