Question about Dryers
I have a frigidaire affinity dryer that is 2 months past warrenty and of course it breaks now.
It spins in times dry when in noheat/air fluff mode. The manual said to replace the themostat and I told the repair guy to do that today to no avail and he said i may need a motherboard as the codes are not in the tech manual.
The codes are:
and now when I have done the test the code is coming up E68, but the repair guy did not get that code today.
Thanks SOOOOOOOO much for your help
The model number is AEQ6000ES2

I had the same problem with my Frigidaire Affinity Dryer, no heat. I took the vent off the back and let it run for 5 minutes. It started heating up. The hose for the vent was clogged. It works fine now. Check your hose and inside the dryer where the vent attaches. Unplug it first of course. Hope this helps!

Inside my affinity dryer I found a service tech manual taped on the wall near the drum motor that lists fault codes. It also tells you how to go into diagnostic mode to help figure out what is wrong. On mine there is a aluminum louvered panel in the lower left looking from the back. It is held on by 2 screws. Make sure the dryer is UNpluged because the motor and belt drive are right behind this. Look inside and you may find an evelope taped to the inside wall. I am in the middle of figuring out what is wrong with mine but it is about the same age and just out of warrenttee too. I looked on www.mrfixit.com and I have no clicking sound and they are pointing to the igniter or possibly the radiant sensor. I am off to check these now. I hope this is helpful.

the thermistor in air outlet duct is very common for these. with front panel off find plastic duct from blower at bottom. pull out thermistor and look at inner side. it has triangular shape and if you can see shiny redish color at tip instead of all black then its worn. this causes numerous heat and control issues.

Hello Scott Joseph Brandt - Since you have already replaced the thermal limiter check your breaker or fuses. Some dryers are run by two separate fuses, one for power and one for heat-ours is. If it is not the power source more than likely the issue lies with your heating coil.
