I have the exact same problem......any other suggestions?

Sounds like a document composing issue, not the printer, which usually prints what is sent..
and you may want to print a test page, first, to see that this works for you.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
Nov 29, 2012 | HP LaserJet 2420 Printer
Aug 22, 2011 | Lexmark P4350 All-In-One InkJet Printer
The page margins appear in your document as dotted lines.
You can use these dotted lines to correct your margins so that your student's assignments are not cut off and there is no large margin as you have mentioned in your question.
You can view page margins in either Print Layout or Web Layout view only, and they do not appear on the printed page.
Hope this helps
