I found an english version on the Lite-On Tiwain site but the link was to long and would not post here correctly. I have uploaded the manual to a free site. When you go there just scroll to the bottom of the page and click on free. You will have to put in a code that pops up, sometimes it hare to read, hit enter, you may have to wait a few seconds depending on how busy the site is. This is a zip file of the manual in pdf format. If you don't already have Adobe Acrobat Reader it is a free download just google search it. This is a CLEAN file, just zipped and uploaded for anyone to download. Hope it helps. Here is the link:

How do you change the AM TO PM on my Recorder?

The following link is the manual for this model (which might explain it more clearly):

http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/01/37/LVT2016-001D.pdf

(copy and paste link into browser - the file is free and small (less than 5MB) - page 17 under the heading 'General Settings' it provides details on how to set clock (including changing AM to PM) while page 18 shows how to reset the unit to factory defaults - and despite the filename, it IS for this model DVD recorder) (no email subscription required to download this)

This is too awkward to explain here. I don't know if you still have your original copy of the owner's manual or not.

I hope everything else in this combo works as it should.

You may reset the player to factory defaults via the Preferences menu. This step should eliminate the existing password. Additional details can be found in the owner's manual.

How do I reset the Cyber Home 300 to defaults?

Check your owners manual. find the function by using the on screen menu, turn this on by pressing the menu button This function is usually in the setting functions and is usually found by using the up and down arrows to find the settings function and then using the right arrow to enter the function. After entering the function you should find the factory reset function among the listed settings.use the up and down arrows to find this setting and place the cursor on it and press enter and it should reset all the functions to the factory settings for you. Hope this helps you with your problem.

Check you owners manual for the audio settings. Check these pages and note that the underline setting are the factory settings.Pages 37-41.These are the setting most likely changed. This is a factory reset function. The function is found in the settings menu under the preferences. If you do not have a copy of the owners manual handy, you can use this link and find a pdf copy on the philips website.http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=US&slg=AEN&cat=DVD_HOME_THEATER_CA&sct=DVD_PLAYERS_SU&session=200906 If you still cannot get the player working correctly, you can call the Phillips customer support at this telephone number 1-888-744-5477.
