Unfortunately, no. Lynksys, and what is the other company, is it Netgear?, claim to be able to do this, but I have not gotten my WAP11 back yet so I cannot verify directly. May only work if the other AP is a Lynksys as well.
Buffalo (http://buffalotech.com) also claims such features on the their access points and they use Agere (Orinoco/Lucent) radios! They even claim single radio repeater functionality! I have some of their stuff on the way to verify first hand as well.

Buffalo uses agere client cards and APs, but they use their own firmware and software to control it. Only problem is that you HAVE to have a Buffalo Tech PC Card to setup their APs (at least you used to need them, haven't played with one in a while). Vinny www.wifidirect.com
