If you are talking about the PS3 you can use a standard IEC cable, commonly known as a Kettle lead, and can get them from any electrical hardware store for next to nothing. Chances are you probably have a spare one around the house somewhere, most PC's and monitors also use the same plug.

That's if you're talking about the PS3.

Does the blue wire need to be connected to 12 V + . if I have no accesories, can I just leave this wire disconnected? thanks!

The subject shows this referring to a Pyle car amplifier. Is that the case? Either way this will hopefully answer your question.

If you're talking about the blue wire from an after market car stereo and:
  • There's no accessories (as you've already stated)
  • You don't have a power antenna
  • and you're not running an amplifier
You can leave the blue wire disconnected.

If you have a power antenna it'll need to be connected to the corresponding wire in the dash (I would need to know year make an model of the care to help you identify that wire). If you have an amplifier the blue wire would be run directly to that.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Ray

I wanna connect my amp, and i dont know which is the remote wire? where do i connect the blue wire to? i have a sony cdx-f7700. can anyone help or have a diagram

The blue wire, if you've not got a corresponding blue wire to connect to can be connected to the ignition wire. That being one of three needed to power your head unit - RED (12v permanent), BLACK (negative / earth) and another colour, sometimes blue for 12v ignition (only comes on with the ignition on / acc).

Blue hue on screen

Try a different known working monitor on the vga port of your laptop. If the replacement monitor works then you definitely know its a problem with your original monitor. If the replacement monitor shows the same blue hue then you know the vga port is bad on the laptop which would mean replacing the motherboard since its connected to the laptop.

I have an 1984 rudd 75,000btu forced hot air unit with pilot light, while cleaning unit an electrical connector broke off ! it looks like a blue plastic wing-nut, and It has 2 large black wires that go to...

The simple diagram for that specific problem it connected series to thermal cut off sensor.
The two black wires, One came from a power supply line (it means an active power
and the other one goes to the load motor) If you shorted it connection it will run the motor.
But it bypass the sensor.

Unplug the power then try to fix the both end of that black wire connected to terminal bolt of your thermal sensor by replacing the broken plastic nut with a new one.
Fit the nut thight to avoid electrical arch while giving power on at the start.

Amp works when beaten

It sounds like you have a broken connection in the amplifier. The first thing to check is the fuse. Sometimes the contacts become weak on the fuse holder and the connection becomes intermittent. Any other troubleshooting would require opening up the amp. Any repairs would require resoldering the broken connection.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
