Newest razr v3 ringtones

Have they changed the new software? I cannt set my ringtones to the songs that I have, they were bluetoothed to me, and i can bluetooth songs and listen to them but cannot set them as a ringtone like i could with my old phone and my mothers razr, the phone does not give you the option.
is there a way around it? i know they did this so that you would have to buy the rintones!!

I can receive ringtones via bluetooth.

if your computer supports bluetooth then go to control panel and find bluetooth and do the same with your phone and press sync on both. they should find eachother just make sure it finds the driver for it. then get a program to make ringtones from songs. like mp3 to ringtone gold or some sort of program thats what i use.

I dont know how to send files to my motorola razor

Bluetooth is the only way I know to get ringtones onto your V3 other than downloading the ringtones or ordering a program called motorola phone tools. Your V3 isn't capable of whole songs. I have a phone that is a V3xx and it has a memory card that is recognized by windows as an external drive.

Bluetoothing ringtones

The V3 is deceiving because it has many different software versions. If you power the phone off, and then press and hold the * and # keys while pressing the power button, it should come up with a black screen with white letters telling you the bootloader version. I bet if you compare the two, the bootloader will be different.

There is the V3i, V3a, V3m, V3r, V3re, V3c etc.

I've heard of many of the new razors not being able to use MP3's as ring tones.

please rate as at least helpful as there is no FixYa solution for your problem.

Sorry for the bad news.

Ringtones

You have to use cell phone modding software (such as P2K Tools) to delete the files *.db in the audio folder of the phone. After that, your ringtones will work.
