If you have a Whirlpool oven, the F2 E6 error means that the Cancel key line is open. You will need to replace the keypad or the keypad and controller board (if a single assembly) if the keypad doesn't respond to a press of the Cancel Key.
F3 error code usually means a faulty oven temperature sensor, a fairly easy part to replace.
However, with an intermittent display problem as well this could mean a bad connection or relay in the oven control unit, which a bit more complicated.
The F2 on whirlpool ranges means the oven temperature sensor is defective, you`ll need to replace it.
**Disconnect any power to the unit before attempting any self service please**
The part number is 8053344 and retail's for approx. $30-$40US.
It should look like this just so you know, and with an ohm meter should measure approx. 1100ohms at room temp.
Hope that helps, let me know please. Good luck.
Error f2 means Oven too hot. Either the Oven temperature sensor has gone bad and you'll need to check the oven temp. sensor Or the issue is with the relay board and it might be need a replacement.
Plesae accept the solution and revert for further assistance.
The F2 typically means an overtemperature conditions:
1. over 650 degrees F unlatched or 915 degrees F latched.
2. cooling fan stalled while over above 650 degrees F or an oper thermal switch in the yellow leads.
Check for:
1.Welded relay contacts
2.Cooling fan stalled or blocked air flow to rear of unit.
3.High resitance in over sensor leads/connectors, especially at sensor in rear.
