Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Water damage I dropped my phone in the toilet and didn't let it dry long enough before trying to turn it back on. It flashed a bunch of different words and numbers and went off. I thought it was hopeless, but several days later I charged it and turned it on and it worked. I soon realized that my battery won't hold a charge though (not long anyway). I bought a new battery, but it still won't stay charged. Is this something that can be repaired or am I stuck with a phone that won't stay charged? THANK YOU!

It can be fix but i am thinking thta if you took to long for it to be fix but nevertheless take the phone to a mobile service center and have them service the phone to see if they can fix the issue.

My phone fell in the toilet idk what to do!!

I am not sure if this will help but here goes anyway. I assume you immediately removed the phone from the toilet when it fell in. Here is what I did in a similar circumstance. My wife once dropped her car keys and remote in the toilet while she was at work. Once she got home, I opened the unit up and using a hair dryer carefully dried off the printed circuit board. I then replaced the battery. The remote is still working today. Good luck! Whether this works out for you or not you should tell your Mom about it. Accidents do happen - my guess is she will understand.

I dropped my sidekick 2008 in the toilet

really the only thing to do in this case is to let it dry COMPLETELY before putting any power to it. if you let it dry completely now it may still work but if you tried it already and it failed i doubt it. try a new battery if it wont turn on. i dropped my nokia in the toilet and let it dry for 3 days then it worked; had a buddy spill his bottle of beer on my blackberry and after the defrost and over night it worked fine.... good luck

there might be some short circuiting happening inside your phone. try letting the phone dry using your regular hair blower before turning it on again.

note: remove first the battery, sim pack, and outer covering before drying your phone

Dropped in Toilet

See if it will turn on when you remove battery and plug it into your charger. If it will you could recover the numbers with the Motorola software or the Carrier could.

L7 water damage

I dropped my phone in the toilet when it fell out of my back pocket. The best thing to do is dry it as well as possible and then leave it out to dry. I let my phone dry for approximately 2-4 weeks and now it's working again. I found this out after I went out and bought another phone. LRL from Texas.
