I recently had a paper jam, the paper has been removed, but the error light is permantely on. Please help! Do I need to reset this? Or is it garbage?

While I was printing I ran out of paper. The paper jam light came on and I can't get it off again. The printer does not print anymore. There is no jam anywhere - all is clear. I turned the printer off several times, deleted the unprintable items from the print monitor, restarted my Mac. Result is still the same. Any suggestions? It's the DX4050 model. Whatever got printed looks good, by the way.

Hi, it sounds like your printer experiencing a hardware failure thats why the error light still on. The sensor that detects paper jam or any obstruction might be defective. Aside from that your printer may also experienced a motion carriage error. You can to power cycle the printer & check ink cartridge. if the error still present your printer might be needed to be send to the nearest Epson Service center.
