The mouse suddenly does not work,then I consult with the technical support, they sent me procedures on how to reset it. I followed their advice and mouse started working,however the keyboard did not work now. we have been trying to reset it again and mouse works sometime while keyboard never responds.
If there is a dongle plugged into a USB port, try another port, i have a logitech wireless desktop, and it used to have probs when connected thru a specific USB port, also reinstall the drivers and check batteries.

Hi, my mouse work fine since pressed simultaneously the buttons of the mouse and the receiver. Previously, I had disarm the receiver, but all was fine, so I'd arm again the receiver and plug to laptop; I'd press both buttons and mouse work. For any reasson, mouse and receiver lost conection and is necessary re-establish comunication pressed both buttons. I hope my experience (my case) to be useful to someone.
Try resetting the mouse with the receiver. Press the connect button on the receiver and then on the mouse.
Also, make sure the light comes on the mouse when you install the batteries, If not, they may not be making contact or be in correctly.
I have a miscrosoft wireless laser mouse 6000, and it also stopped working
on my laptop. I changed the battery, still not working. I tested the
battery in another device, and it was good. I moved the mouse to
another computer, and it did not work. The light on the usb connector
was lit. [No changes at all to my laptop.]. It seemed like there was
no power to the mouse, and I looked at the contacts inside the mouse.
The contact just inside the battery opening appeared to be bent down
away from the contact on the battery tray. So, I pulled it up a little
so it would connect when the battery drawer closed, and (after tweaking
it a couple of times), it finally worked!
