Question about LG enV VX9900 Cellular Phone
My phone will randomly turn off sometimes. when it does this it doesnt do the powering off screen or music, it simply shuts off and the screen goes black suddenly. it always turns back on, but i dont know why it is doing this or if it could end up being a real problem. please help!
Most of the time it is just old software on the phone. Try to take the phone to a Verizon corp store and see if it needs flashed with new software. If it already has current software then it needs to be replaced. Once the phones start randomly shutting off there is no turning back. The processor on the phone is shot at this point.
Both Verizon and LG are aware of the issue.

Hi, trust me i'm on my 5th env. IT'S NOT A SOFTWARE PROBLEM! every single time i go into the Tech Verizon Store, that's what they say. Ok, we ran a new software through the phone so now it should work. For the first 2 phones, that's what i believed. After i went home, two weeks later it would do the same thing. so i told them, no just give me a NEW phone. they did thankfully. if you have the problem after a year they won't replace it for free. BUT every time you get a new env the warranty lasts for another year. its not the only problem i've had. the internal screen will jumble up and different colors will come. it will freeze, the battery doesnt last long, and screens turn black! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE. Now, it was my fault. I dropped my phone and the external screen cracked. I was told since the envs are discontinued, with insurence-they would give me an env2 for $50. thats probably what i will end up doing. if i helped you, im glad=)

This website is nothing more than an excuse to advertise.
Show some back bone America, protest by not visiting until they get the message.
We are being treated like domesticated animals, here for their pleasure and profit.
