I have an Aspire 3000 laptop, it will work for about half an hour then everything freezes on screen and nothing works. The only way to shut down the laptop is to take out the battery. When you then come to start up again it doesn't respond. Have rebooted system twice already it works fine for a while then once again same problem it freezes. Have only had since July 06, is there any possible way this problem can be fixed. many thanks

try hooking it up to an external monitor using a VGA cable. If you see something on the external monitor, then it's the screen that's bad, if you still see nothing, then it's more than likely the video card.
I bet your using alot of pics and vidieo. you need to take a break every now and then and run mcafee or you can go to tools then internet options and clean your system real fast and then go back to what you were doin'. but you may lose your history so dont plan on clicking back to a recent page. but it is worth it I think
