Question about HP Color LaserJet 3500 Printer
We are currently not purchasing color ink due to budget cut backs. When the colored cartridges ran out the printer will not print. Is there a way to convert this color printer to a black ink only?
Actually, there is a work-around for this. You'll have to go into your print driver settings. Under the "General" tab, click the "printer preferences" button. In the window that comes up, select the "Color" tab. Click the "Settings" button and change the "Neutral Grays" settings to "Black Only". Click OK and then click APPLY.

No,sorry. Even if the print looks like it should use black toner only,it uses a little of color toner depending on the shade .
This is also true for other laserjets and inkjets
Hope this helps
